International Tractors Limited (ITL), famous for its Sonalika tractors, plans to double its worldwide sales in three years. They unveiled five new tractors at an event in Gurugram on October 14 to make this happen. One of them is the SV Series, which is an all-electric model.
The SV Series electric tractor, developed under the Solis brand, is tailored for international markets like Europe, the USA, Africa, and South America. This innovative tractor comes with remarkable features. It provides high torque and fast charging, going from 0 to 100 per cent in 3 to 3.5 hours. However, a regular full charge takes 8 hours.
ITL's product lineup comprises the Series S, Series C, Series H, Series N, and the all-new Solis SV Series electric tractor. The Series H, Series S, and Solis SV models are receiving a global launch. The Series C is designed for European markets, while the Series N will cater to regions like Europe, the USA, Africa, and South America.
Sushant Sagar Mittal, the Executive Director of ITL, disclosed that the company invested a significant sum of Rs 850 crore in technology and a new manufacturing plant. Additionally, an extra Rs 150 crore was allocated to research and develop these new tractors.
During the launch event, Rahul Mittal, the Executive Director of ITL, highlighted their unique approach. He stated, "We've combined European styling and Japanese quality with the cost advantages of Indian manufacturing."
Furthermore, he added, "Our secret sauce is our unwavering commitment to growth, reinforced by an extensive network of dedicated partners who embrace challenges and innovation. This formula is reshaping the global tractor industry. Our primary objective is to empower farmers worldwide to enhance their productivity and transform their lives through innovation."
